I'm Carlos. I build websites the way I was taught to build parts.

Mechanical engineer by training. Design Engineer by trade. Owner of LTCLevTec LLC. When you work with LTCLevTec, you work with me, from the beginning to the end.

The long way here

At NJIT I was honestly bad at coding. I failed Python 101. Twice. What I loved was math and making things. I spent my time in Creo and SolidWorks, modeling parts and getting them ready to be manufactured and actually used.

After graduating I started my career in engineering, work I am proud of and still enjoy. Alongside it, I have always loved making things of my own, and that side of me kept looking for the next project.

That led me to a retired professor who had already patented an ankle-foot orthosis. I helped him finalize the design, shape how it was presented, and organize the project the way he wanted it put together.

Around the same time I got into game development on Roblox. I coded, designed and modeled a game called Noon Showdown, then built Hiders Seeked, which has passed 40,000 visits.

Then the professor needed a website for the orthosis. That project was paused for reasons that had nothing to do with either of us, and it was never finished. But it is the reason I started learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

The backend logic and data storage I had worked with on Roblox carried over more than I expected. It still was not easy. Every programming language really is like learning a new language. What got me through was already knowing how code is structured and what tends to go wrong.

After about a year of dedicated learning, I added website design to what I do. LTCLevTec started as my Roblox game studio, which I ran as a sole proprietor before forming LTCLevTec LLC in June 2026. Today the business focuses on websites, and I still publish games under the company name.

What engineering taught me

  1. Measure before you cut.

Before I design anything, I find out who visits your site and what they came to do. The layout comes from that, not from a template.

  2. A site is a system.

I spent a year out in the field across Manhattan making sure automated building systems did what they were installed to do, and today I keep doing that work from the office as a design engineer. I treat a website the same way. The pages, forms, email, domain and hosting all have to work together, and I test that they do on iPhone and desktop browsers before anything goes live.

  3. Deadlines are real.

Engineering submittals do not wait, and neither did a broken conveyor belt at 2 in the morning, when UPS needed packages moving and your orders on their way. I am used to work that has to be right and on time.

Where I have worked

  1. 2017 to 2022

    New Jersey Institute of Technology

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, minor in Applied Mathematics.

  2. Summer 2019

Mechanical Design Engineer Intern, Electronic Technology Inc.

Modeling network protector parts in SolidWorks from my own measurements and from blueprints.

  3. 2019 to 2021

    Revenue Recovery Supervisor, UPS

Part time, leading a 14 person team on the floor in Secaucus, New Jersey.

  4. 2021 to 2022

Buildings and Systems Engineering Specialist, UPS

Supervising a crew of mechanics and porters, mainly on industrial conveyor and electrical systems. Making fast, decisive calls when equipment went down, enforcing safety procedures, dispatching work orders, keeping maintenance records, and coordinating with outside vendors on major facility issues.

  5. 2022 to 2023

    System Specialist, Bosch Building Technologies

Checking, troubleshooting, building out and fixing building automation systems in the field across Manhattan and Staten Island, with Distech and Alerton controls, HVAC controls and PID control.

  6. 2023 to now

    Design Engineer, Bosch Building Technologies

Reading and marking up mechanical drawings and building submittals for projects in New Jersey and New York City.

  7. Today

HVAC design engineering, web development and game design

HVAC design engineering at Bosch Building Technologies, plus website development and Roblox game design at LTCLevTec LLC, where I am still actively making games.

What I build with

Websites
HTML, CSS and JavaScript written from scratch. No page builders, no themes.
Hosting and backend
Cloudflare Workers, D1 and R2, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, Stripe for payments.
Testing and delivery
Git and GitHub for every change, Playwright with WebKit for iPhone and desktop checks.
Games
Roblox Studio and Luau.
Engineering
SolidWorks, Creo and AutoCAD, building automation and HVAC controls.

Off the clock

When I am away from a screen, I am hiking, training Muay Thai, or playing chess and other strategy games. I like making new things, and I like using the skills God has given me to help people. This business lets me do both.

See for yourself

My clients say it better than I can. This site is an example of my work too. I designed it, built it, and I run it.
